Meters tackle problem of measuring hot oil flows. A viscosity insensitive flow element design was used in order to solve the problem of measuring the flow rate of hot Oil from a process heat exchanger, where the process temperatures could range between 50 and 200 deg C. In addition to the viscosity variations, the high process temperatures and non-conductive nature of the process fluid required a unique approach. The two 100mm line size Flotrak units shown provided 4-20 mA output proportional to flow rate, ranged between 5 & 100 M3/hour. |
