Flotrak Metal VA Meters work side by side to save valuable panel space.

When a customer needed to upgrade his control panels to use Metal tube flow-meters with a clear direct indication of flow-rate, the limited space available required products which could be bank mounted side by side, fitting within a pipeline separation of less than 100mm. In the past the use of magnetically coupled Metal tube VA meters proved unsuitable owing to magnetic interference between adjacent meters. However the unique features of the Flotrak magnetic coupling, allows each meter to operate correctly even in physical contact with each other. To save even more space in this application, a reduced width indicator was used, giving a total meter width of 90mm, smaller than the plastic tube meter units being replaced. Above shows several of these Flotrak meters working side by side.

In addition to direct reading scales, it is also possible to add a 4-20mAmp output module, which also because of the unique magnetic design feature, allows for close bank installation of meters.

Flotrak Metal VA meters are available in pipe sizes DN15 through to DN 80, and are suitable for both liquid and gas measurement.
